Does anyone know what the ah ( amp/hours) for the original battery for this car would have been?

110Ah (for my '06 530i)

Have you looked at the BMWhat app? It can pull BMW error codes&OBD2 generic codes as well as register new batteries, change from FLA to AGM, change AH rating of battery etc.

If you read on in the document it goes on to state 15.8v in one area and 16v in aunother as the max charging. So I wouldn't be overly concerned at 15.3v, particularly if the car is sitting outside overnight.

Wow...I didn't realize that BMWhat app can do all those battery changes. Just saw a YouTube video of the BMWhat process. My advice for any new people is to get BMWhat and forget INPA, etc. They are very very difficult to deal with. Need to get BMWhat myself.

Do you have a source for OEM equipment?

That would be cool, however I don't see where it will register a battery? This site:

BMWhat App Android | iViNi-Apps

does not list battery capabilities.

Will registering a battery alone be enough to instruct the alternator to put out the correct voltage?. Voltage in my level of battery discharge (full) and temperature (35 deg) should be 14.4 V not 15.3 V.

Don't know what to say... My 05 530i must be overcharging from April of 05 when I picked it up at dealer. During the winter months here in Florida, mine will charge at 14.4v steady and we are not in the 30's.

And yes the BMWhat will register batteries and allow for switching between FLA and AGM batteries with the ability to change Ah ratings....

Yes you're probably right, but that leaves me with no clues to this eluding situation. My wife and i took the car out yesterday not sure as whether it was going to leave out in the cold somewhere. I ran fine, cranked fine no issues?

scary I am not confident

Thanks I went ahead and ordered the app. After reading the coding forum, ISTA would do more for less money but just too nerve racking. Life complicated as it is..
