DVD NAV. please insert nav dvd! Help!
 
So my 1 1/2 year old daughter inserted a penny into the nav but came out. But now it doesnt want to read the dvd. If someone can please help! Also I have a 2008 550i.

Hard to tell if the reader doesn't want to read or the disc doesn't want to be read... have you tried troubleshooting... maybe try looking at how much damage is on the disc...

Well I tried to put a regular disc and it doesn't read it either.

I haven't heard it spin, should I take out the fuse and see if will reset ?

It is possible to just change the DVD drive, and not the whole unit. She may have put in more than one coin, also. Procedure to change just the drive is not that complicated. Drives are on eBay and elsewhere.

I thought they sold the units all together? I've looked but I've only found them whole and for like $400 and up

Yours is a 2008 550i, US model with CCC? Give me the last seven digits of your serial number, and I can give you part numbers.

My serial or Vin number ? I haven't taken the ccc drive out yet. But My Vin number is wbanw53568ct48675.
