Dunlop Tires 18"
The Goodyear F1 GS-D3's are the best tires I've ever had. Check out the reviews at tirerack.com. Great ride, low noise, terrific traction in the wet and dry, good mileage so far, and beautifully smooth breakaway. I would spend a little extra and get a set of these - you won't regret it.
I'd also consider mounting them on some aftermarket wheels. With the cost of mounting, remounting, and balancing, and the chance of damaging your wheels, it might be worth it to have a complete set.

I really had a great experience with the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Postitions on both my 2001 EW39 and my 1989 M3. The same reviews at Tire Rack include these tires and the Goodyears that wolverine recommends. They both cost about the same -- the Bridgestones outperformed the Goodyears in many of the tests by a small margin...on the other hand, it seems that the Goodyears are better in the wet...
How does Goodyear F1 GS-D3 compare to Michelin PS2? I'm think about getting the Michelin PS2 after I wear down the Dunlop Run Flat Tires. Thanks.

I've turned 12K mi and have noticed that my rears are down to the wear bars.? Contrary to popular belief I don't beat on my car.? I drive it spiritedly, but don't spin my tires on a regular basis.? Yes, I've posted a "strip" and have confirmed that limited slip doesn't exist.? Anyway, does anyone out there have? around the same mileage as me?? How are your tires holdine up?? My fronts are pretty low as well.

I have around 8200 miles and my rears aren't going to last another season (snow tires will give me a break here soon).? My fronts are a little better but just yesterday, I noticed a little bubble in the sidewall of one tire due to a pothole (no damage to wheel -- I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do about it -- winter tires will be mounted as soon as it snows to buy me some time.)
