Hello everyone! I just wanted to share this photo with other E60 and BMW owners; no one else would appreciate it.
My car isn't clean, but I saw a cool sunset reflecting on the hood, and I grabbed the camera. I had to Photoshop the image slightly just so the sides weren't totally black, and even in the dim lighting one can see the early accumulation of brake dust collecting on wheels that were spotless less than 100 miles ago.
The cool part of the photo is that I caught my alarm beacon in mid-blink! This is a first for me, and I've snapped quite a few photos with the doors locked. Peer just below the rain sensor thingy to see the red led!

I wonder what the odds would be to snap a photo in mid blink, 'cause as far as I can tell, there is no rhythm to the blinkage. I don't think you could accurately tap your foot to the blinks then click the shutter.

Sweet!
I've watched my X5 and 545 many nights while sitting by a campfire and can say for sure that they flash at different speeds. They will sync up every few minutes but definitely flash at different rates.
