Good day.

I have an 07 530i . About two weeks ago The (!) light came on in my instrument cluster, along with the yellow brake light. Indicating the DTC is not active. It went off, but came back on this morning on my way into work.

When I purchased the car I was told by a fellow BMW owner to always put the parking brake on. In doing this, I have a tendency to drive off with it still engaged.(ooooopppssssy)! Have I
damaged a sensor or my braking system in some way by doing this?

Any info on the issue would be greatly appreciated.

+1 have this error problem sometimes while I'm driving, no idea why. I don't think it has anything to do with parking brake.
This morning, after start up, my radio didn't turn on, my steering wheel didn't come down. And last night my sunroof wouldn't close. I honestly think there is too much electrical work in these cars and after 5+ years problems start too occur.
