Hey Guys...
While driving through a parking lot with speed bumps the symbol for DSC/Active Steering flashed right when I drove over a bump. It did NOT stay on, it seemed to flash because of the speed bump. I do NOT have active steering on my e60.
Is this normal?
What causes it to flash and should I take it to the dealer?
THANKS!

I'm a little confused about what symbol you're referring to since I'm pretty sure that the DSC and active steering symbols are independent of one another. Either way, I doubt it's anything to worry about unless it happens more often...

That's the DSC light -- it will flash any time the DSC system is intervening. Depending on how fast you went over it, the speed bump may have caused the vehicle to unweight a bit so the DSC system may have detected a slight slippage.
Again, totally normal behavior, in my opinion...
