I found this about servotronic not to confuse with A/s servotronic.
Servotronic power steering standard on the new E60:
Q: What is Servotronic power steering?
A: Servotronic power steering is supposed to make the car easier to turn at low speeds and while stationary. It makes the steering a bit lighter. In reality, it boosts steering all the time at any speed.
-- I test drove a 530 06 with it and I love it. The steering felt so smooth. But not the kind of smooth that you find in those american cars
