Hello,
I just had to have my oil pan gasket changed due to leaks and in the process had new motor mounts installed since the car has about 101,000 miles. In order to do this, the mechanic had to drop the front subframe. Does the car need an alignment afterwards? My mechanic says it's not really necessary. The car seems to drive straight after the work was done. What are your thoughts?
Thanks in advanced!

Last fall the BMW dealership changed my oil pan gasket and dropped the subframe in the process. They did not do an alignment and did not offer one, so I think you are good as the dealers love to sell unnecessary work.
