Driving from Uk to Turkey and back in my 530i any ideas & tips ple

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking to drive from the Uk to Turkey and back im my 530i,

I would be greatfull of your views tips ideas etc,,, please
Specialy for someone been there in car

Will this car get me there safely and what to look out for??

Never driven there but, I did have a layover there on my way to Afghanistan and it looked...Rough. A full size spare would most definitely be a good idea. That and Google translator!

and some tire slime, tow strap (with some D shackles), a spare fuel filter, flares, leather gloves, and cash.

Good insurance on your car so if you come out one morning and find that someone has decided they need the car more than you do...!

I have been 1600 mile al the way to Bulgaria and back in mine 3 times.

Make sure you have euro car insurance cover, you need a fire extinguisher, a hi-vis vest, a bulb replacement pack, first aid kit and triangle, these are all mandatory in Europe.
Take your full driving licence, proof of car ownership and insurance as well.

Thanks for all replies, i will bear them in mind, the navigation from the uk will take me there, i take plenty food and drink on board. i also have a 5 month old baby with me too.

Only advice i can give is beware Turkish drivers and traffic lights as they havent come to the conclusion that red means stop yet

Here's some advice:

MAKE SURE your car insurance covers you in EVERY country that you plan to drive through during your trip and have them explain any restrictions that may exist.
