Drivers airbag warning light

My Ride: 530 auto, sat nav, 124 style wheels with dunlop run flats, black leather, bluetooth, silver grey.
Drivers airbag warning light has come on - again
This is the 3rd time its happened, totally fed up with this. First 2 times was fixed under warranty but that has now expired.
Anyone else had a similar problem or is it exclusive to me?
Thinking of trading in for merc CLS 320CDI. Had a demonstrator last weekend and was very impressed, great torque and very quick of the mark and a good looking car!
What do you guys think? Stick with beemers (on my 3rd now in 10 years) or try something different.
