I have a 2004 545i with 112k miles. It now has the dreaded coolant pipe leak.
The cost to repair the car is nearly what the car is worth.
At this point I have no intention to put any more money into this car.
What does one do??
Sell as-is for next to nothing?
Sell to a scrap yard for next to nothing?
Part it out myself? I can probably make some money, but it's a lot of work.
Any other options?
It's a shame because, as you all know, it is really a beautiful car - and one of the best cars I have ever driven.

How bad is the leak? And, are you sure that it is the coolant transfer pipe and not just the coolant pump? If the leak isn't too bad, maybe you could just keep making up the leaked coolant. Alot cheaper than your other options.
