Hey does anyone know where I can go to someone to call to get catless downpipes installed? I have one indy shop in town that said he'd do it but he's trying to charge me $400. Is this a good deal? Any help is appreciate. Thanks guys,
Steve

that is a good deal. I've read people paying up to $600-$700 for their AR Design DP installation in thier xdrive. what DPs did you buy?

$400 is a good deal.

But you should ask if he has done it before. Quite possible he will get most of the way through and come back with... "this is much harder than I thought". I am going to need to charge you $xxx.

$400 is fair for xi DPs. That is what I was quoted (best price) back when I wanted my AR DPs installed. Ended up buying $60 worth of tools, busting my knuckles, learning, and used the left over $300+ dollars to buy a charge pipe and more tools. The trend continued for a couple years and now I have the tools and knowledge to fix almost anything on these cars.

If you are inclined to do it yourself, set aside a weekend and go for it. Make sure to look up the DIY guides and Youtube videos which cover the process so you have all the proper tools and understand the process before diving in. The procedure on our cars is the same at the 335i but the space is more awkward and challenging to work in with it being a 5 series and AWD.

How did this end up? I'm looking into the VRSF DPs for my 2009 535xi as well. The dealership offered to charge me $1275! :O

How long did it take you shop? Were you happy the work?
