I can't believe this, I have to replaced the door seal (attached to the body) for the second time in 2 years. It looks like a pattern is developing, in that, every year I'm going to replace a seal. I thought they fixed this problem. Has anyone else had multiple relacements too.

Yes......probally so, but I have had many cars over many years and this really is the first time such a problem repeated itself. I had to have the door seal replaced on my wife's 03 325xi once already........who would have thunk it!!!! :'(
yep seal on the doors are crap.
I left them and did not change them cos after I got the H&R sway bars they have become worst and not every time I turn into a corner all 4 doors make sounds.
I guy sayed if I change them now it will be OK until 1 years time then the sound will come back, he sayed itis very comon in the BMWs not just the E60.
So I just did not bother changing them.

I had the my car for one day and I could not stand the noise coming from the door seals. I called the dealership they told me to bring it back and they would replace seals around all four doors. The interior is very quite now. I do wonder if it is silicone based cleaners that are causing the problems. I have not had my 04 545 long enough to investigate these problems..
I had the creacking door seal noise since I picked up the car from dealership. Had door seals replaced twice so far. I never had to do this in any other car except for one that was 10 years old (Ford).
