Also be sure to deactivate when taking a rest in a rest stop. If not, the results could be quite interesting
But if you lock the car using the lock button on the dash, the motion sensor is not active, right? Why would you need to lock the car with the key if you're going to be resting inside?

Probably force of habit. I was so sleepy that I probably took key out and then decided to lock it. It only took one little motion to set off . I deactivated and then used the dash button. Didn't even wake the State Trooper . I was also a little tense at the time as I had a dash full of faults and was not even sure car would restart as it hadn't at the last gas stop (I installed new battery - the one day old battery was at 11.85 volts - waaaay down in the fully discharged area).

Car in Monday for treatment.

No food, No drinks, and especially no dogs allowed in the car.
That's why I still own a Ford Explorer.

I predict at least two more post to "RTFM" based on:
1 post on 15th to RTFM (The correct term)
1 post on 16th to RTFM (my choice of words)
1 post on 17th to RTFM (my choice of words)

We also have:

1) One sound sensor
1) Motion sensor behind Dom light behind sunroof
1) Motion sensor behind rearview mirror
1) Motion sensor in vent slats behind sunroof

And then there is me: it goes off if you are in the car and forget to properly lock car when inside (the dash button dummy) or twice on key fob.

I just gotta follow this thread forever.

I don't RTFM because I have the forum to ask silly questions! Thanks for the tip
WORD.

Hey if some guy can ask our opinion about buying aFe "Hot" air intake TODAY, then the question from OP is a fair game. I do agree they are both silly questions. Dont get me wrong.

The motion sensor is just behind the sunroof in the area where the rear cabin light is...
