So i like to take my dog around in my car and some places I have to leave him in the car while i run in. He somehow manages to set off the alarm. Hes a small dog so he just walks around in the front.

So i have tried to lock myself in the car and cant find which button or what hes doing to set off the alarm. anyone have any ideas?

I believe that there is a sound detector inside the car when the car is armed, so when your dog barks it trips the alarm. Someone correct me if Im wrong.

You can disable the alarm (and motion sensors) by closing the car and pressing once again the closing button. It's useful when parking on a ferry etc.

RTFM...

It's all explained in the manual...

When locking the car, press the lock nutton once to lock and right after for a second time to deactivate the interior motion sensors and the sensor which triggers alarm when the car gets towed.

Same thing happened to me too. It freaked out the dog.

If you lock the car with key button and then hit the key button again, the red light on the underside of the rear view mirror will come on solid for a few seconds indicating you have disabled the motion detector and vehicle movement sensor (e.g. tow truck picks up your car).
