Just wondering if your car burns oil, and how often do you top it off?

'04 545i with 105k miles, no unusual oil consumption. 1 quart per 10k mile change interval.

I have 50,000 miles on the clock and no oil consumption between changes. My interval is approx. every 18 months and 8,000 miles.

About 98k on the clock and I change the oil every 7500 miles... I do 100 miles per day and add about 1/2 quart before each change inevitably. She is dry as a bone underneath so its burned not leaked...

I do about 10000 miles a year. 77K on the clock, i do not add oil between changes. I change it once a year in october. No matter what idrive says.

the only time when mine ever consumed oil was when it was leaking from behind the alternator gasket very slowly. But BMW does say it is usual to burn 1-2 qts during a 15k mile oil change.

Really? That much? Gawd, I wonder how many owners actually drive 15K between changes. I know the oil will last that long, but it still gets dirty and contaminated with junk the filter can't clean. I think 7500 between changes is a more practical schedule. But what the hell do I know.

My car has 55,000 miles on it, and it doesn't burn a drop.

I have the exact same problem. Did you do anything to it? Like changing a pair of new gasket?
