Rudy, are the brake discs a larger diameter on the 545?

I debadged my E39 and my E60. Personally, I just think it looks cleaner. When people ask me what happened to the numbers and I tell them I debadged it, all they can say is, "Wow, I love the clean look. It really makes the rear of the car a lot better looking". They don't often ask what model. I do it for the clean look of the car. I just like it that way.

This topic has been discussed to death before but for the record, I debadged every car I've ever owned for the same reason cmans speaks of. It looks cleaner and thats it. I plan to debadge my 550 as well.

545i owner here. Debadged. If I happen to get a M5 anytime soon, that will be debadged as well. And to have some fun will rebadge with 528i.

I think to have "black chrome" numbers or high blacks polished finish looks sweet. I'll try yo find an example. On my M3 i leave the badges alone because of the colorful embem, but when I get my 535i i will look to do black chrome.

You should badge it with this..."One supercharged biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiatch!".

Some dude in San Francisco had that written on the side of his Acura. I almost choked on my lunch, I was laughing so hard.

Well..the truth is...I wish I had a 550i !!!!

I have the M-Sport pack with the M-body kit, M-suspension, M-door sills, M Steering wheel, High gloss shadow line, anthracite roof liner and 19" 172M wheels.....all that on a carbon black car. Most of the time when I pull up next to another car, guys look at me like wow! that's a serious ride....right away they think it's a super fast, powerful sport sedan not realizing their G35/Lexus IS or the likes will pretty much smoke my car...all that because of the way it looks...(like a 550 or M5 to someone who doesn't know).

And that's starting to get to me!! The moment they see my badge (530i) they take the attitude of "hey...it's only a 530...I can smoke him...it just looks like a 550!" As a result I seem to be "challenged" more often than I care.

Admittedly, I have an inferiority complex with my car !! And probably come across like a moron for that! but hey...I'm telling it like it is !!

My thought was to debadge in order to take away the whole "it's only a 530i" reaction and let people draw their own conclusions.....It feels like the M-Sport pack and the 19" wheels convey the wrong idea...power...muscle...extreme acceleration...when that's just not the case! It's only cosmetic !

I'm glad I got this off my chest.....lol...very therapeutic....lol....

Much less positive and more cynical here.

"Hmmm... didn't they finish that insurance repair job then?"
