Hi!
I am removing my run-flats and do not have a compact spare in my car. A compact spare kit sells for $275 +$50 shipping at Tischer BMW.

Another alternative is to go with the BMW Mobility Kit, part # 71100413439. It is basically compressed air with a tire sealer. Cost is $130 and no extra shipping.

Just wondering if anyone has used it and if it's worth the money? Should I just get a compressed air can at an auto store instead? Any thoughts?

Below is the description and picture.

"With a portable compressor, tire sealant and a specially designed nylon carrying case, the Mobility Kit can help keep you moving if a flat tire comes along. Just plug the compressor into your BMW?s electronic socket to bring an air supply within reach. To order a replacement tire sealant canister, just add part # 71100415041 to your cart." - replacement tire sealant canister is approx $30.

Another option which I'm presently looking at is to get a cheap 17" rim that would fit our cars and buy the cheapest tire from Wal-Mart I believe the size is 130/85/17 (check the owners manual). It will cost you as much as the Mobility Kit or maybe less.

Or try TyreGuardian as suggested in that other thread.
