I am almost 100% certain it is. It's developed, made and supplied by Dr?xlmaier, http://www.draexlmaier.de/index_en.htm, send them an email and they might help you out.....

I actually ordered anthracite maple for my car, the alu was a bit to contrasty for my taste. But I like the surface structure and the fact that it doesn't scratch. Or does it?

I'm afraid that the aluminum cube is a very very thin layer and it might be scratched easily. For woodtrim, it has clear protective layer, so when it go minor scratch, it cannot be seen like the case of Al.

Maybe, but the surface seems very rugged and quite matte, not like the polished shiny wood. BUT the black maple was so discrete, I fell for it.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I will drop the makers an email and see what they say.

I have a cry light scratch just in front of the Menu button, so can't be that tough.

I think it would look great in Black Alu Cube, what do you reckon??

When I tick with my ring on the Alu cube, it sounds like a metal to metal sound and I am sure that for safety reasons, the layer of alu is kept to the minimum, just like the layer of wood
