Does any 5 series forum member have a AFE Cold Air Intake on their e60 BMW?
Does any member have a DINAN Air Intake or a DINAN High flow throttle control on their e60?
PM me if you do.
Thanks in advance!!

-AFE definitely worse than RPI scoop. AFE intakes have been dyno-proven to rob E60 of horsepower, while RPI scoops with BMC or K&N air filter have been proven to add power.
-If you have a 6 cylinder, you can only use one scoop. You can mount a second one for the looks. If you have an N62 motor, you can follow a DIY (there's one or two on this forum) to make the second intake and this actually adds performance.
-Dinan intake is expensive and makes no sense, when considered against the RPI scoop. I recommend instead buying some heat-shield wrapping and applying it to your intake and exhaust tubing - particularly around those parts, where engine radiates most heat. This can significantly reduce the intake air temperature. HP Output = +1% HP per 10 degree temperature decrease, and accordingly, -1% HP per 10 degree temperature increase. So if you manage to decrease the intake temp by 10 degrees, your car's HP output will increase by 1%.
-Dinan HF Throttle body may not be the best way to spend money, unless you already have an RPI exhaust, ECU tune or at least a piggy-back ECU tune, like the BMS power box they have at Burger Motorsports. It is a marked improvement and a legit mod though.
