I think a classy green tree hanging from your rearview mirrow would be nice. NOT.

OK, here's my $.02. A car like a new e60 should smell like, well, nothing. Or leather at the most. Nothing perfumy, etc.

With that in mind, Zaino Z-10 Leather in a Bottle is a conditioner for your leather that smells fantastic. Makes the leather smell brand new and rich.

That's as far as I'd go with an interior scent.

As for the exterior, there are some great smelling products out there- no joke! The Zaino car wash smells like grape bubblegum, although sadly, doesn't taste like it. Meguiar's High Endurance Tire Gel smells great, although the doctor in the ER told me not to drink it again. Bummer. I find it's really important for my car's paint to smell good. That way, people get a whiff of me as I blow past them!

How long does it take for the "new car smell" to vanish? Is anyone's gone?

No way to put air freshener in the car. I love the new car smell.
When I take my e60 to car wash, I will get a package with air freshener, but tell them not to put any in the car.

Just curious - do you taste all cleaning products?

I have never used a scent to freshen up my car. Since no one is allowed to smoke, eat or drink in the car, it pretty much retains a nice clean smell. Well at least to me anyway.....
