Not a e60, but e63 chiming in. I got what was the fastest ticket written up in record time. Got pulled over for speeding. Super cool CHP officer got my info and came back with the ticket in less than 5 minutes. With a big smile, the officer said to me as I signed it, "Nice car." Unfortuately, he wasn't the one that tagged me speeding. Was caught by airplane. Believe that?

The uneducated ask me if its an M5 and I proudly say NO, it's not an M5. Those in the know are in awe, ask some questions and just keep staring.

I don't get much feedback of my car, but I think that's just a national phenomenon, to not talk to strangers .
However, I have one very envious neighbour and he thinks he knows everything. I guess everyone has one .
When I bought my car and brought it home, he walks to me with his wife and starts gladly: "A new car?!"
- "Well, new to me", I replied
- "You know what kind of people run these kind of cars?"
- "No, please tell..." I knew already he's an a..hole and waited for something stupid...
- "Yuppies!"
- "Ok". I was amused about his bluntness.
- "Is it a diesel? What size is the engine...? 2 litres?"
- "Yes it's diesel and it's 3 litres"
- "What!? 3 litres?! Are you nuts? For what do you need a 3 litre engine?!"
- "Well, why do you go fishing every other day? Because you like it, right?"
Then he shaked his head and said: "Any splashes in your head?"
At this moment I was just mouth open and confused. I tried to think did I just hear him right.
After a moment I luckily got said: "I think this discussion is over... Please don't lean on my car." I kept calm, but what I really wanted at this point was taking him down.
He and his wife started to scold me about not having any sense of humor and all I kept saying them was: "Please leave..." Over and over again until they left.
It went many weeks before they spoke to me again.

My Ride: 08 550 Carbon Sport Almost everything factory, but no sound upgrades.
One guy said, "I've got one just like it on order." I didn't believe him but then I remembered I told an owner the same thing before mine floated in on a Wilhelmsen yacht.
Several county police officers have admired mine. They even wrote down the make and model.
