"Nice car" once or twice, but mostly its obviously admiring looks from other motorists when in traffic or at the lights. The 116s get a lot of attention, for some reason.

Usually its "Thats a nice car you have" to which I humbly agree.
But the other day I had "I am gonna have a car like that (pointing at my car) when I grow up" - and he was only 6 or 7 (a neighbourhood kid on his bike talking to his friend).

I get the same as some of you do. I usually get the a thumbs up (I think they are thumbs 
) or head turning stare especially when they hear the exhaust. Once in a while I get the nice car comment. The best one was when I was at a gas station and a kid said "nice e60, I like the AC Schnitzer stuff you put on there" I was surprised to hear someone say that outside of our e60 forum here. It was nice to hear someone who had a clue...then the kid got into his modded out Civic. It made me chuckle

I had someone next to me, while sitting in traffic. He told me that he is a beautiful ride and gave me a thumbs ups. I usually get alot of stares, someone on the highway was looking at my car and almost rear ended someone (just kidding).

I used to get lot many comments when I used to drive a W140 wide body S class few years ago.

I get the stares and thumbs up.....Just the other day I passed a e39 with an older couple and when i got at the stoplight he was behind me. Looking in my rearview i can see him talking to his wife and pointing at my car. Looks like he was explaining somthing to her and he had a smile on his face the whole time. So i pull off slow and he pulls along side of me and were going the same speed and he is just checking out my car with the same smile.....the look on his face was priceless
