Bad mood today, so i'm gonna take it out on this thread...
There is a ton of useful information in this thread, but really...foglights? Can we start a thread on who uses there seatbelts? How about the cigarette lighter...oh, how about who picks their nose while driving, and if w/ a manual trans, do you get boogars on the stick shift? Damn...

There are many such threads... Search for "seatbelt chime"...
If you want to know HOW to use them I am sure we'll find a flight attendant who can explain...

Let's all resurrect a year old thread! YAY! Let's not get in to another stupid argument. In the UK it's illegal to use your fog lights when visibility is above 100 metres, and for good reason, because they are often as blinding as full beam. If I get somebody behind me with front fogs on, I just switch on my rear fogs. In an LCI E60, they are BRIGHT. If the car behind me puts full beam on in retaliation, my good old automatic dimming mirror kicks in instantly. If you think it looks cool, good on you, it's a shame that 99% of the rest of the public think you look like a tit. But as long as you're happy with looking "cool", that's great, I'm very happy for you. The tone of your post, and your use of lights, says a lot about you. But I'm sure you don't give a shit.
wow u read me like a book... i REALLY dont give a shit what u think. and frankly i REALLY don't give a shit what the law is in the UK either.

This is getting good. Someone pass the damn popcorn. I see a "ban" coming around sooner or later.

I am glad Iceman doesn't live in US.
It seems like if he sees me driving with fogs on, he will stop me and yell at me for driving with fogs on.
No reason for him to make people feel like moron just because they drive with fogs on.
Even if u dont like to see people driving with fogs on, please keep it to yourself and dont go firing on a public website.

My Ride: 2008 535xi (European Delivery 6/12/2007): Monaco Blue, Creame Biege Leather, Dark Poplar, Steptronic, Sport Package, Premium Package, 17" Style 243 Wheels, Nav, HUD, Active Cruise Control, Night Vision, PDC, Comfort Access, Lane Departure Warning, Cold Weather, Logic 7, HD Audio, iPod, Folding rear seats.
Here! Here!
Very well stated, Rudy!
Bottom line: driving around with foglights on when they obviously aren't needed looks, well, stupid. Its akin to driving around in a convertible with the top down on a rainy day. Yes, we can see you, but we'd rather not. Or perhaps a novice driver who is either too unfamiliar with his vehicle to find the foglight switch (or put the ragtop down) or too self-absorbed to notice that it's a sunny day (or a rainy day).
