Do Style 122 rims require run-flat tires?

I have an E60 with the Sports Package.... 245/45/17 Dunlop 2000E's run-flats on these #122 rims. Does anyone know whether these rims are designed only for run-flat tires? I don't like the Dunlops -- and wonder if I can mount a conventional radial on these rims. Thanks!
