So far my only complaint is that the sound from the outside of the car is almost as loud as what you hear inside. Makes it look like you're trying to show off.

^ This is the same case whether you have Logic7 or not. Everytime I put up the music inside my car, people outdoors tend to look more as they can hear the music pretty loudly, expecially the bass. Makes me look like I want attention, or perhaps they are just admiring the beauty of the car itself

L7 is the BEST stock sound system.
You can't make comments on it, if you didn't listened to it yourself.
I have the same Bass and Treble adjustments as you, PLUS the equalizer. No problem with Bass/Treble or the L7 modes.
I've tried standard, Hi-Fi and L7, and L7 is waaaay better than the others.

[/quote]Btw my first car i owned was a skoda fabia that came with some standard speakers but i removed the rear ones and replaced them with some infinity kappa series perfection (250$) and kept the front ones since they where more solid then the back ones and sounded ok +i mounted an amplifier 4x75w and it rocked the car...yeah for sure some of you would say why do i need to booom away my car but for this kind of money at this kind of level of a car then u should be getting at least the option of a "boom". just my opinion...

Well.... I'm not just talking about "boom".
Frankly, I don't like sloppy, boomy bass. But I like the ability to get loud volumes without distortion.
And I also hate the fact that there seems to be no sound dampening in my car.... because outside everyone can hear my music just as well as I can inside.

Hmm, I think the Premium Sound/Logic 7 system in my 545i is really good - for a car audio system. I don't try to compare it with good home systems (and I have a pretty decent one to compare to), but given what typical OEM systems sound like, I think the L7 one is plenty good. Yeah, perhaps you can spend the same amount of money and do better with aftermarket stuff, and maybe BMW should've been able to do better too, but overall, it sounds just great.
I have VERY tight and defined bass, mids and highs are decent too. There is no "sparkly" or fatiguing in the highs. The bass is plenty to really feel while not being boomy. I've left the Tones at the default midpoint, with the Equalizer adjusted to slightly raise the lowest and highest frequencies (kinda gentle reverse Bell-curve, if that makes sense).
Now I haven't listened to what it sounds like outside the car, if it's as loud then I agree that they should've dampened it considerably.
The source material makes a difference too, I can hear the difference between good recordings and just ok ones - and these are through an iPod on the Auxiliary Audio Input (we were discussing the Lame VBR encoding in this thread if you're interested).
I, for one, am pretty satisfied with the overall sound of the L7 system.
