do you have the sensor holes in your front and rear bumper? if not, you don't have it.

sorry, you don't have it then. really hard to miss the PDC sensor holes on the bumpers.

Not standard in North America...it's an option and depends on what year the car is/ model if it is a stand alone or part of an option package.

Kinda had to miss the nickel/quarter sized holes in the front and rear bumper covers

It kicks on Every time you put the car in revers weather you have Navi or not, and shows up on the iDrive screen and the car beeps when you get near things....

It has a description of its function and how to turn it on in the instruction manual...
