Do i have PDC

I recently picked up a 2006 525i A/T, im a newb with these cars and im wondering my car even has the option of the sensors beeping during parking, i have idrive but no navi, and if my car is equipped with that option then how do i turn it on/off to know if it works, thanks

okay but where will i even find that button?? i dont recall seeing any display like that in the car

Those buttons are in front of the A/T knob. I'm guessing you don't have it.

If your car is equipped with PDC there is a manual push button on the lower portion of the dashboard - just in front of the ashtray. Otherwise PDC is activated when you place the transmission in reverse.

If this is your first contemporary BMW I urge you to spend "quality time" with your owner's manual ... the controls and features can be very very very very confusing.

yea when i look there i only see one button that says DTC, what is that for?

It's to enable (default) or disable the Dynamic Traction Control. When enabled, the transmission will provide more power to the non spinning wheel to get you moving. One of the BMW demo videos shows a car with the DTC off so that the wheels will spin to help it "paddle" through snow.

Aside from the PDC switch you should have four small button-shaped sensors on both the front and rear bumpers.

Hold the DTC button down for 5 seconds and then SLAM on the gas

off every stoplight, stop sign, every time you go from a start actually, its good for the transmission
