Listen my friend, do not worry, if you want you can install even 19" oem 166 style or replicas from 18"-20"s or some 20"s and even drop it, many people did that already around the world, maybe not members here but if you see forums you easily find out. Second many tuners dropped x-drived cars like x3 and x5 with 3-4 cms!!!
BUT Bmw of course do not recommend it for reasons of ... safety and style and who knows.

Bare in mind that BMW never offered 20"s &21"s for e60 M5 and non-M cars either, many have it and happy with that. I will also get some big shoes Chill and talk to your dealer the only thing is if you do not use what BMW recommends then maybe you loose warranty on wheels...
Hehe i know but i'm just looking at what it should be. We'll see what we can do...

So it won't be possible to get 166 style ///M5 rims on my ride or what? And yes, concave was the word i was looking for
The E60 x has a differant offsets on the wheels and settings on the chassi.

I think your wheels look just great.

Do not spoil your fine car with wider tyres!

Look what i found in the gallery today searching for a oxford green ///M sport.

I saw sp530xi put the 166s on his 530xi. So it must be possible

Any adjustments needed to do that?

I told mate, you see you can even a bit!!! drop that. BMW made the awd (xdrive) to facilitate drive in snow and light terrain, not for off-roadin, but some also buy it to go in the mountains etc. So you can install whatever you want, jus got that balanced and also see with your dealer, they will not agree as BMW does not recommend it, but BMW never ever recommended either 20" or 21"s and both works

me and my buddies call the 'concave' design of the wheel 'deep dish', like a chicago pizza.
we are all crazy about it, the more deep dish the better!
looks so hot and sick from the back side, you'll immediately notice when approaching one on the highway/autobahn, expecially the car is very dark like black.

on another note thanks for posting, i always suspect that the 135M rim has a few variations.
it can also be fitted on the e46 3 series, which is a different bolt pattern (yet still deep dish) than e60.
there might exist 3 types of the 135M wheel.
