Do the '05's have red rear reflectors?

If you don't like the red replacement reflectors you can always paint them body color like I did.

I've seen Beewangs car when he dropped it off and the red reflectors are still missing. Just a black piece of plastic... :'(

oh, btw, my friend called 911 last week and firemen came (no big deal, him, his wife, and my gf stucked inside the elevator ). i kind of remember they didn't have red suspenders .

back to the topic, no red reflectors for '05. i think more and more people are getting them so bmw are more than happy to leave the black inserts as is .

I'm confused, Why lexus, acura TSX, and Mazda 6 have the rear reflectors if the goverment regulation is not allowing us to have them?

Because they are also visible from the side, not just from the back is my understanding. I have seen them on the 645 and on the 3 series.

Measured from the ground to the center of the red reflector is 16 (18) inches which is OK. Also, on the red reflector, it has SAE and DOT printed on it.

I am very confused. BMW needs to explain this
