Hello ladies and gents, happy to be here, I have a question for the coders and electrical smarty pants.
I swapped my dme due to the fact of a bad dme flash file, dme went to crap so I had to replace it, okay, no... $1400 for a new dme no way, what I did after days and hours of trying to code a 04” 545i dme to my old ews and key I found a complete dme/ews/key and steering column as a set for $300, took a gamble, bought it and installed it... foot on the brake, turned the key and then sweet Jesus I heard noise come from a car that been dead for months due to being brain dead.
Car runs and drives fine like it was all meant to be on there, only thing is that every light you can think of is on in the car but runs and drives fine, like all my service lights (spark plug, oil change, inspections, etc) are yellow and read no numbers of the mileage on them are left and I can’t reset them to where they would turn green, all fluids and spark plugs are new, can I code these lights away? Or is it something deeper than that?
