DIY wanted - Oil Level Sensor Replacement N62TU

My beloved M-Sport has a faulty oil level sensor and dealer wants over $600 to replace it. Has anyone had to do this on a 4.8l in a 550i? Any advice would be appreciated.

Looking at doing this soon to my 550 4.8.
Anyone seen any write ups about replacing oil level sensor on N62tu?

It is as easy as it looks. What's the problem?

Not sure what “It’s as easy as it looks” was supposed to mean.
Haven’t seen how to do it yet so that doesn’t even make sense.
thanks for the input!

Nothing special about this job. Same as a 6 cylinder. Pelican does not like giving torque specs, and NewTIS is vague on the procedure. Now put on your big boy pants and have at it!

i was thinking I had to remove oil pan.
