My Ride: Just gone-520d m sport- Jet Black- Dakota Leather black- AluCube interior,
On order- F10 520d SE-Titanium Silver
Most of us put a lot of thought into the options we choose as God knows they cost enough, however nothing beats real life experience to give you a dose of the regrets. If you had to ditch one option from your e60 which would it be?

A couple things... Well, that's pretty easy with all the options my car has...
I would not get the TV, and get it aftermarket.
I would not get the phone professional, I wanted BT but it was still n/a at the time of purchase.
I would not get the external heater, since I now have a garage.
But I would get nightvision now...
I am happy that I don't have the engine start/stop button, wouldn't want to have keyless go but would get it if I had a start/stop button and would probably buy soft close for the doors.

Nothing I would ditch as totally useless, but:
1. Navigator (pro) - though I'd like to keep the split iDrive screen etc. etc. - can get better for less money, even if it is not nicely integrated
2. Heated seats (nice, but really not necessary)
3. Auto-dim exterior mirrors (again, nice, but not necessary)
The one thing I'd really ditch is the gearbox. But it's not an option.
Later edit:
There is one thing I'd ditch: the tow bar. I have nothing to tow (I bought the car used, and it came with it). But I suppose if one needs a tow bar, then it's a well engineered tow bar.

Forgot if metallic paint was an extra cost option. If it was, I would ditch my sliver grey for alpine white. The cheap paint is ridiculous because you can see the inner white layer just from little door dings. I never had this paint issue with my prior MB vehicles.

My Ride: My 1st was an '06 530xi, Titanium Silver w/ gray dakota leather, sport pkg. & Nav.
Now my 2nd is an '08 650i CP, Space Gray, Blk Dakota, Sprt. Auto, HUD, Sprt. Pkg., Prem. Sound, High Beam Ast. & Comfort Access
The first option I would toss is voice control. It doesn't work that well anyway, expecially when you are trying to give it a number to dial. The second would be the sun shades. I am usually in the car by myself, so they are not very useful.
