I think this option is linked to the Car/Key mirror settings. My friend's mini doesn't unfold and he cannot fold/unfold with his key. On my car it unfolds automatically at high speed and I can fold/unfold with the key as well.
. At least for me....been doing it for over 2 years!

My Ride: 545i
My 545i did not come with folding mirrors, though I find that option sometimes necessary, how much is it to get a pair of 545i mirrors that fold + coded?
