Default Dinan Exhaust for 535i, Xi and 550, what do you think?

Will be listing my Dinan exhaust for a 535 if anyone is interested let me know. It's well cared for and sounds great and in like new condition. I decided to go for the dual look so removed it. It's a little over a year old. Their website says it also fits certain models of the 550.

SOLD ALREADY!

The description said it's a little longer than the OEM tips. I'm wondering how much longer. Would be nice to see them mounted and pictures taken from all angle. It's weird though. I have a two piece muffler on my 2010 535i M Sport.

Default Some Pics

I found a few random pics that shows the exhaust on the car. The tips are a little longer but all of this is adjusted when you install it. I installed it according to the instructions and you can see how far they are out. Maybe a little longer, but I don't think one would notice it. If they are out too far, you would simple slide the entire sytem back a little.

on my '07 550i, the reveal puts the dinan logo centered in the viewable portion of the tips when seen from the rear of the vehicle looking down from standing just behind the trunk.

That's exactly how mine is, it's where it's supposed to be. If you are referring to the attached photo, the exhaust is not on the car, so it's just free sitting and not actually in car position, it's just a quick pic.

This should not last long, if someone is on the fence; just do it. You will not be disappointed, this is a perfect exhaust for the E60.

X2, best advice: the clamps that come with it to bolt on the dinan exhaust make great colars for welding the mufler to your existing pipe. cut off the stock muffler, hand the dinan one. slide the bolt on clamp over the connection w/o bolt, and weld. advantages: 1) its welded 2) makes removal of the dinan muffler simpler due to the fact that grinding the welds on the clamp dont shorten the stock pipe any more than when you origionally cut it, if that is, you should ever need to remove it.

Just one quick note. I believe the Dinan Exhaust, at least for the 535xi, is an axle-back and not a cat-back.. so you will get the nicer look, great sound, but not much by way of performance. Us XI guys are a bit more limited when it comes to exhaust choices.. e.g. the RPI ones etc are not going to work on our cars.

Yes, you are correct it is an axle back and the hp gain according to Dinan is like 6 and a little torque increase. So overal all I don't think you can feel it, so you would have to measure it but it sure sounds bad ass!
