I'm amazed by the quality of the digital TV available in MY2005 builds.

Not the best quality pic, but it was dark!

No. He has a MY05 with TV option. The remote comes with the settop box.

Iceman's correct - no remote control. Interestingly the car TV region was set to DE, not UK (not sure if the dealer forget to set this or all cars leave the showroom like this)

I think BMW had to test it in Germany when the production was completed, adn therefore it's on DE. Your dealer forgot to set it on UK, probably.

Hi Iceman,

Does the MY05 TV have TV TEXT like the settop box?

I don't think so, but I haven't seen it in person yet.

The retrofit for the settop box and the factory Tv tuner option costs about the same. Isnt it better if you get the settop box because it has text and remote?

I want BMW to provide TEXT without the remote. (All that can be done through IDRIVE)
