I have no idea right now, until Friday. The local shop says there's a drain plug. So does an expert on another forum.

Update: I went to the local BMW independent shop and had the differential oil changed (for breakin maintenance purpose). Alas, there is no drain plug, so the drain and fill had to be from the same opening.

The cost is less than the oil change at the dealer.

Oil in final drive.
Castrol SAF-XO 75W-90 without LSD
Castrol SAF-XJ 75W-140 with LSD
1.6l in differential

Oil in gear box
Castrol SMX-S 75W-85

At service 1.7-2.3l
Dry gearbox, first fill 1,9-2,5l

Redline 75W-90 was used by the shop.
