any update on the oil filling plug?

gcalo 09-20-2014 10:15 PM

Yes.

Finished samples were delivered today. Need two minor changes

I will post some photos tomorrow

When you get the final one I'd be interested to see it. I ended up having P-tech do my diff service while they were doing my in between oil change since it was only $100 which included 3L of redline shockproof lightweight.

gcalo 09-21-2014 08:29 PM

3L? really. I believe there are only 2 liters in there but I will confirm.

It's a neat filler cap.

Need two minor changes and it's ready to go

Final drive volume -E60, E61, E65, E66 = 1.2L

So your shop made a few extra $'s!

I will verify that when I drain my e60

I have a large capacity housing due to the performance gearing LSD. Normally it is under 2L but I needed a little more then 2L.

makes sense

now you know how much to put back in but I would still collect and verify the volume upon draining

I'll post pictures of the drain plug tomorrow

Been jammed

checking for updates.

Almost there.

have to make a few more minor changes to ensure that there is good oil flow when refilling

The concept is fantastic and it is working as planned.

Bear with me a slight bit longer
