Hi guys my differential shafts are broken (4 small shafts) Does anybody know where I can get one maybe used??? Does M5 diff fits to 545i? Anyone else had that problem?? I'm out of warranty so....

SRY MAN.. I HAVE NO IDEA.. BUT alot of the guys on here really know what there talking about... thell chim in very soon... check with memmber rudy.. he`s very well to do with this stuff...

If I am wrong, I'm sure that someone will correct me, but I do believe the SMG in a 545 is different from that of a M5. The M5 has an extra gear and dozens of performance oriented functions and more horsepower that probably require different differential shafts.

You could try scrap yards or companies that deal with refurbished parts, but I have a sneaking feeling that this repair is going to cost you some $$$$.

I'd try and replace it with a Quafe LSD...

I'm almost certain that the differential parts are different between the 545i and M5.
