Can anyone tell me what would be the difference between jet black and black sapphire metalic?
I know jet black is plain non metalic black w/o any other hues in it.
How about black sapphire metalic?

Thank you~~

Jet black = non metallic
Sapphire Black - is plain Black metallic (It's the black M5 colour)

And just for info - these are the other blacks available (that I am aware of)

Carbon Black - metallic - with a blue hue (available on M-sport models)
Ruby Black - metallic with a red hue (individual colour only on the 5)
Diopside Black - metallic with a green/grey hue (individual colour only on the 5)

I believe Sapphire Black is also available on ordinary 5 Series. It has a very slight green tint to it, in the right light.

Sapphire Black IS available on non-M 5 series cars (I should know, I have one) as for the "Green tint", I've never seen that, just pure shimmering black!

If you look at it in strong sunlight there is definitely a slight green hue, which is presumably why they called it sapphire black.

OIC, I've driven that same basic colored car for about 13 years now (My 1995 M3 was Cosmos Black), and never noticed it before. I suppose I'll have to go look today when I go out into the 80+ degree, bright Spring sunshine (heh heh heh, just had to mention sunshine to a Brit ). I will definitely look though.

Jet Black is the best Black, but it's the hardest to keep clean and it can also look the worst if not kept up.

As was said, Jet Black is the blackest black (hence the name), and also the best looking one. And Carbon Black Metallic isn't black with a blue hue, it's blue with a black hue. It looks blue 98% of the time, especially in bright light. The only time it looks black is in darkness or overcast days.

I disagree with your assesment of carbon black when you say it looks blue 98% of the time.

It is black with blue hue, it looks black inside my garage, on shade, etc. it looks blue in bright sunlight. It looks bluie 53% of the time.
Is a great color, especially when clean and polished and in a sunny day.
