you guys probably have already noticed this but it's something new for me. the loaner (e60) that i drove last week has cwp and mine doesn't. i've noticed the steering wheel on that is "thicker" and better to grab than mine :'(. not sure about sport package though
. anyone has ever compared them
?

I have the premium, sport and cold weather package. The steering wheel is very nice ( thick and soft to the touch ).

Yesterday I had my steering wheel changed from the standard (without heating) to the very nice sport steering wheel that both feels and looks better. Nice but not dramatic change and I would have been happy with the old wheel also.

yeah...
The stock steering wheel is indeed very thin. I hate that. Why didn't they make it a little thicker???
The 7 series have the same problem.

Yep. I have the sport steering wheel. It is bigger (grip) and the diameter is smaller.
I really love it. Waaay better than the regular steering wheel!
