Which diesel to use in France?

My Ride: 530d Sport manual Mystic Blue, black Dakota leather, advanced air con, fold/split rear seats, Logic 7, business nav, 6cd, heated F seats
I'm about to take my manual 530D (latest 231BHP engine) to France and wonder which fuel to use.
I remember from being there last summer there a two grades of diesel available - regular and low (or maybe it was high?) sulphur.
Which is correct (or more correct) for this engine, and what are the pros & cons?

My Ride: e39 525i Touring, will order e61 as soon as I can decide on engine and options...
Low sulphur is the right one, th other is for trucks and tractors.

I just use the dispensers which are integrated into the main pumps.
I thought the lorry fillups were separate...
