Did we lose the "auto" setting in the air

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.

I can't find the auto check box in the vent settings. Did we lose that with the software upgrades.

I think the auto function controls the air distribution between the zones and the intensity of the blower. Now it will just blow as hard as whatever you set it to be. And you control the intensity of blower via the rotary dial.

If you press the actual "Auto" button on the dash, its the same as checking the auto box. If you have the a/c set to auto and then go play with the settings, the auto light will go out. Then if you press tyhe auto button on the dash the setting will change by themselves.

The auto check box is gone but I've noticed that the strength bars for upper, middle, and low vents do change without me changing anything. So it still is redistributing the air.
