So I have the heater problem that a lot of other e60.net users seem to have where your heater only blows luke warm air. It seems everyone is agreement that this infact a THERMOSTAT problem I'm out of warranty so should I skip the diagnostic test and just have the thermostat replaced?

Knowing what year and model you cruise around in might help get better replies.
But, I would not spend a dime until I was sure I had read the manual thouroughly and understood the complicated setup.
