So the other day some A-HOLE backed up in a parking lot and put a dent in the left front fender. Thank God I had the Venture Shield on the Fender which at least protected the paint and I was able to remove the other guy paint of the Venture Shield but the A-Hole left a small dent on the fender which is pretty visible enough thus it is small. I know If I can get my hand behind the fender I can push this dent out but for me to do that I need to remove the front headlight. So my question; is it easy to remove the headlight? Does anyone have some instructions on how to safely remove it? I went this morning to couple of DENT MASTERS shops!!, they want at least $300 to fix this small dent. Any help is greatly appreciated. Here's couple of pictures of where the dent is located. I know it is small but it bugs the Sh....t out of me because I see it....

Sorry to hear that someone backed into your car. Dent Masters is expensive in Toronto... For $300 wouldn't a proper body shop be able to fix it?
|
Sorry man, that really sucks. $300 sounds kind of steep. About half that sounds right, at least where I live. Have you checked your local Craigslist? Sometimes guys who do PDR, but aren't part of a major franchise, advertise on there for the service. Sans the overhead, it's the same result at a lower cost. 2 cents. G/L.

damn i feel your pain  i would just take it to a paintless dent removal guy and be done with it. they have special tools that can reach those spots without removing headlights. good luck

I've used paintless dent repair with great success ... looks like the small paint problem can also be fixed w/a spot repair. Your BMW dealers use these services to clean-up blemishes. Maybe a friendly SA can give you a solid reference.

I'd say it's worth to try yourself. The dent might just pop out.

sorry to hear that, 300 sounds wayyyy too much, i would go around town and see what prices are out there
|
PDR service might be able to do it for a cheaper price (as stated before). The diagram above seems pretty feasible as well. That location would be easy to get to once the front bumper is removed, and a number of members have done that to install their m-tech kits independently. GL
