#1
December sales of the 5 Series were up a very pleasing 25.0% when compared to December, 2004. YTD sales for all of 2005 were also up 15.7% from 2004.
By comparison, December sales of the Mercedes-Benz E Class were down 16.4% with sales of 6,334 units this month and 7,576 units last December. Sales of the MB E Class were down 14.5% for the year 2005.
Please note that I only report the United States sales data.

It official ... E60 sales in the U.S. for 2005 were the most ever for a 5 series.
I also would like to point out that at this point the 550 is more rare than the M5.

That pent-up demand for the M5 is pretty awesome. But I doubt it will continue for much longer. I also wonder when the M6 sales will commence.

Yes indeed. Also December itself was a record month. Never has the 5 series sold over 6,000 units in a single month, 6,396 to be exact. The prior record month of July 2003 sold 5,313 units. That was the final month of E39 production when BMW was giving them away at deep discounts.
Way to go!
PS. Thanks Fred as usual! Glad you've stuck around on our forum!!

Congratulations to BMW for producing another great 5 Series. Success is the best revenge for all the stupid comments that 04 E60 owners put up with on RF. Screw you Charlie and your dead RF BMW boards.
