I was told the same thing for my free brake job, then when they measured the pads I still had a few millimeters to go before they could replacing them under warranty. That was back in Nov/Dec time frame. Just last week I was told they still don't need replacing. The rotors now have a nice outer lip to them.
I don't think the rotors have ever been changed and the car has about 73k miles on it is that normal?

It would be nice to get a straight answer.

Here's a breakdown of the parts from RealOEM.com:
Front Brake pad wear sensor, front left 34356789492 $27.76
Front Brake disc, ventilated (2) 324x30mm 34116753221 $142.34
Front brake pads 34116764540 $159.46
Rear wheel brake-brake pad sensor 34356789493 $29.15
Rear Brake disc, ventilated (2) 320x20mm 34216763345 $116.04
Rear brake pads 34216763044 $107.87
For a grand total of $582.62
So, the indy shop is charging about $500 for labor. I've never replace brakes & rotors before. How long does it take on average to do all 4 wheels in a home garage? IE, no fancy lift.
Is the procedure pretty similar to this video?

About 2 hours to do all 4.
Saves yah some cash and allows you to bond with the vehicle, plus, you know it was done right! :-)

Great video! Pretty much thats it. I always take off the cap to the brake reservoir fluid to make room for the fluid when pushing the calipers in. All depends how much fluid you have in there. Once done you need to go out and bed them bad boys! Its really not that bad. I also change the fluid while I am there.

Well, this is my first time, so it'll probably take me twice as long. BTW, how tough/long is the procedure for changing the brake fluid? I'm at 67k miles, do you think it needs to be replaced yet?
I guess the final question is, to go with OEM or performance after market rotors and pads?
