Hey guys,

I haven't started my car for 3 days now and today it wouldn't start. The dash showed a battery symbol. Do you know how much cranking amps is required to start the engine? I've purchased a external starter battery with 450 cranking amps but the car engine turns once or twice but won't start. I'm thinking maybe this isn't enough? Your help is appreciated.

Just did my own research and found that the battery in the vehicle has about 900 cold cranking amps. So if you are looking to purchase a jumpstarter, make sure it has about 900 amps. Most of the jumpstarters I've seen have about 400-600 amps and might not be enough for a cold start. Time for me to return the jumpstarter. Pepboys people was no help.
