In my A4, you had to work thru a zillion menu's just to re-set time. I agree it is easy on E60 using Idrive.

I think it would be impossible without Nav because the car doesn't know where you are. Certainly windows based computers update automatically but there is a setting for location. It could grab it off Nav but without Nav I don't see how it is possible.

It would be easy to just update it through Verizon (Assist) but I know it doesn't do that.

mine did not auto update this morning.
easiest way to access the change screen = hit voice button on steering wheel -- say "clock" or "time"

Mine changed automatically last week too. I think the car is using RDS from the radiostations.

Well it's clear that the car doesn't change the time automatically but I just realized that I had to adjust my board settings here on e60.net manually as well.

You'd think that the IPB folks could at least have a checkbox or two defining the fact that I observe DST and automatically adjust things for me on the appropriate dates if I tell it to...

I have Nav, and I had to change it manually.

This is disappointing, because a Nav car should get time automatically from the satellites. My mom's old Lexus with Nav does this, and so does her new one.

Heck, doesn't even have to be Nav equipped. Programing the computer with the dates, which are known well in advance, would not be that difficult. If my $800 PC can do it, you think a car as technologically advanced as the E60 could do it.
