I have an appointment with BMW of Dllas tomorrow to get the software upgrade to version 16.2, replace door seals, new front rotors, and hopefully get new tires. I am not sure if BMW will replace the tires since i only have 2300 miles on the car.

Great! so BMW of Dallas has the new door seals in stock? Do you have tire noise problem?

I'm in Plano.

How many of you have had your Dunlop replaced for free and your creaking door sealed fixed?

Thanks

So, no one in this area had their Dunlops or Door Seals replaced?

Superdad,

I had my Dunlops replaced by Classic BMW. Replaced them with new Bridgestones at No Charge. Took the car in at about 5000 miles. It took about 6 weeks for the Bridgestones to arrive, so Classic installed them around 7000 miles.

Love the Bridgestones.

Also, my rear drivers door creaked, and they cleaned and re-lubricated it and it hasn't come back.

I did have a faulty windshield wiper that would leave a streak when in use. They replaced that with a new one as well.

Good Luck!

Michael

Thanks Michael! I bought my from BMW of Dallas, so I will take my back to that dealer and said Classic replaces the tires at no charge. Did you insist on replacing the door seals for a more permanent fix rather than re-lubricated?

Your car is almost exactly the same as mine, except I have SMG. Current Odo reading 8500 Miles.

Hi - I am a new owner of a 2004 530i purchased in CA and I am looking for a little help from you Dallas folks. I have head horror stories about getting good service from the dealers in the Dallas area and I wanted to get your opinion. Is there one dealer that actually stands out for service? I am in the North Carrollton area so I am not really close to any of the dealerships; service is the most import issue. Thanks - Hopefully this was not a hijack. - will add signature soon.

Welcome! I can only vouch for my experince with BMW of Dallas. While I would say that their SA's would get a "c" rating, if you go in armed the knowledge you gain on this board, the technicians are pretty good. I met the GM of Classic BMW by chance, and he offered to take care of me in the future. I have no personal experience with the dealership, but I was impressed with the GM and he and I had a long conversation. I think I am going to stick with BMW of Dallas for now, but these cars are so new that I think most dealerships are behind the knowledge curve.
